Please vote Chuck Phillips on June 5, 2018.

I think most of you know me and maybe even voted for me in 2010. I am the current Sheriff of Jackson County, Charles Phillips but most people call me Chuck.

It has always been a goal to become Sheriff. Ever since I made the decision to get into Law Enforcement, I knew one day I would run for the Office. Everyone has a goal and this was mine. I've worked extremely hard to get to where I am. I've worked endless hours, long days and long nights to get here and it is an honor to serve this county as Sheriff.

No position has ever been just handed to me. I dedicated myself to this county through community policing beginning in the 90s. I designed my own drug awareness program and shared it literally with every school, every civic organization, churches and anyone that requested it.

I strive to do the best job I can in whatever I am doing. I admit that being in this position, everyone will not be happy with the decisions that I make. It is my job to do what the people elected me to do; do the right thing, get the job done and be able to live with those decisions. Still, some people won't like everything that I do, and I accept that.

A candidate for any position cannot and should not promise you anything except good ole hard work. I have not and will not promise anything other than that, hard work. If anyone has promised you anything, they are misleading you, because when something turns out differently than you were promised, then they have become dishonest.

A good working relationship between the Sheriff's Office and every County Office is essential. Working together for Jackson County is what most of us strive for. I have been here for quite some time and I have worked with some of the best. When you have people working with you instead of against you, things get done and the County benefits from it.

Out of my 36-year career, I have been a supervisor 33 of those years in some capacity. When you vote for and re-elect me as your Sheriff, you are getting a combined 72 years of Leadership, Proven Dedication and Experience with my Chief Deputy and me.

My Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen and I have 72 years of Law Enforcement experience. He is a former Drug Enforcement Agent, and I could not have picked a better person to help me better serve Jackson County. Rocky and I have a great partnership and working relationship, and we both love hard work.

I have not and will not make campaign promises to anyone. I have told the truth even when people have not wanted to hear it. There have been no false promises to anyone - no promised positions to anyone inside or outside the department because it's just not possible.

My Family, my supporters and I have been making our way all over this huge county, and if I have somehow missed you, and believe me it's possible, please accept my apology, but I am trying to get everywhere.

If there is something that you would like to discuss with me, there are several ways to contact me: Call (256) 599-2253 or (256) 574-3318, contact me on my re-election page on Facebook, email me at chuckphillipsj1@yahoo.com, or use the Contact Us page on this website.

We need your help Jackson County. Let us finish what we've started and help us finish well!

I am excited to get out and about to see you all once again. If you'd like to join our team, contact us. It's tiring, but it's fun.

I love my job and I know that I am the best man for the job, so I humbly come to you again and ask for your vote on June 5, 2018.
